BY LEARNING AND SINGING IN HIGHLY INCLUSIVE GROUP SETTINGS, CREATING ORIGINAL MUSIC, AND SERVING THE COMMUNITY, YOUTH FIND THEIR VOICES, LEARN THE VALUE IN OTHERS', AND UNITE TO CREATE AND FIND THE JOY IN SELF-EXPRESSION.

YEAR-ROUND CHORAL PROGRAM - FROM INTERGENERATIONAL SINGING OPPORTUNITIES TO AN UNFORGETTABLE SUPER BOWL LIV PERFORMANCE, CVC UNITES DIVERSE STUDENTS FROM ACROSS MIAMI-DADE COUNTY THROUGH THE UNIVERSAL LANGUAGE OF MUSIC, TEACHING THEM NOT JUST TO SING, BUT ALSO TO EXPRESS AND APPRECIATE THE DIFFERENCE AND VALUE IN OUR INDIVIDUAL VOICES. DEDICATED TO MAKING CHORAL PROGRAMS ACCESSIBLE TO YOUTH OF ALL BACKGROUNDS AND ABILITIES, CVC REACHES 270+ STUDENTS AGES 5-18 ACROSS MIAMI THROUGH: 1) AN YEAR-ROUND CHORUS PROGRAM, 2) A HIGHLY INCLUSIVE SUMMER CAMP, AND 3) KINDERMUSIK EARLY CHILDHOOD MUSIC CLASSES. STUDENTS LEARN AGE-APPROPRIATE VOCAL TECHNIQUE, MUSIC THEORY, AND EAR-TRAINING, DEVELOPING ARTISTIC SKILLS AND MUSICIANSHIP IN ENSEMBLE SETTINGS THAT ALSO EMPHASIZE LIFE SKILLS. THEY COLLABORATE TO ACHIEVE SHARED GOALS, GROW AS A TEAM, AND ENGAGE IN COMMUNITY SERVICE ACTIVITIES THAT DEVELOP CREATIVITY, LEADERSHIP, SELF-CONFIDENCE, AND RESPONSIBILITY.
SUMMER CAMP - CHORAL CAMP ARE OPEN TO ANY CHILD IN GRADES 3-9 AND FOCUS ON MUSICIANSHIP, TEAM-BUILDING. STUDENTS ENGAGE IN MUSIC PRODUCTION, SONGWRITING, AND FILM.
KINDERMUSIK - CVC PROVIDES EARLY MUSIC CLASSES FOR CHILDREN WHO ARE IN K-2ND GRADES. WE PROVIDE KINDERMUSIC TO STUDENTS IN UNDER-RESOURCED COMMUNITIES. CLASSES FOCUS ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE CHILD AND TEACH CAREGIVERS ACTIVITIES THROUGH MOVEMENT, MUSIC READING, AND INSTRUMENTS.
