THE MISSION OF THE DOWNTOWN SACRAMENTO FOUNDATION (DSF) IS TO FOSTER CIVIC PRIDE AND ENHANCE THE QUALITY OF LIFE BY GENERATING ADDITIONAL SOURCES OF FUNDS TO SUPPORT THE IMPROVEMENT OF THE SOCIAL, PHYSICAL AND CULTURAL ENVIRONMENT OF DOWNTOWN SACRAMENTO.

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT: THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS BOTH AIMED AT SUPPORTING OUR EXISTING BUSINESSES DURING COVID. THE BUSINESS RELIEF PROVIDED GRANTS TO EXISTING BUSINESSES WHO INCURRED DAMAGE DUE TO PUBLIC UNREST, ASSISTING THEM IN REPAIRING THEIR FACADES AND DAMAGED WINDOWS. THE FORK TO FARM GRANTS WENT TO LOCAL RESTAURANTS ENCOURAGING THEM TO USE OUR SMALL LOCAL FARMS TO SECURE FOOD PRODUCTS AND ASSISTING FUNDING THEIR INVENTORY EXPENSES.
DREAMERS WELCOME: TO BUILD A COMMUNITY AND FOSTER SACRAMENTO'S ENTREPRENEURIAL SPIRIT AND CULTIVATE THE NEXT GENERATION OF DREAMERS. THE WINNER OF THIS COMPETITION WILL HAVE THE CHANCE TO OPEN A DOWNTOWN STOREFRONT, AND THE BUSINESS STARTUP PACKAGE WHICH HAS BEEN SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED TO PROVIDE THE WINNER WITH THE RESOURCES AND TOOLS NEEDED TO SUCCEED. INCLUDED IN THE AWARDED BUSINESS STARTUP PACKAGE ARE SERVICES DONATED BY LOCAL VENDORS TO THE WINNERS OF THE COMPETITION. THE ORGANIZATION RECEIVED DONATED SERVICES TOTALING $0 FOR THE YEAR.
