MEMPHIS LUNG PHYSICIANS FOUNDATION, INC. PROVIDES QUALITY MEDICAL HEALTH CARE REGARDLESS OF RACE, CREED, SEX, NATIONAL ORIGIN, HANDICAP, OR AGE. MEMPHIS LUNG PHYSICIANS FOUNDATION, INC. SPECIALIZES IN PULMONARY, CRITICAL CARE AND SLEEP MEDICINE. IN ADDITION TO CRITICAL CARE, WE FOCUS ON THE DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT OF ACUTE RESPIRATORY DISTRESS, CHRONIC OBSTRUCTIVE PULMONARY DISEASE, ASTHMA, CYSTIC FIBROSIS, LUNG CANCER, OBSTRUCTIVE SLEEP APNEA AND OTHER PULMONARY DISEASES AND CONDITIONS. ALTHOUGH REIMBURSEMENT FOR SERVICES IS CRITICAL TO THE OPERATION AND STABILITY OF MEMPHIS LUNG PHYSICIANS FOUNDATION, INC., IT IS RECOGNIZED THAT NOT ALL INDIVIDUALS POSSESS THE ABILITY TO PURCHASE HEALTH CARE SERVICES AND HEALTH CARE EDUCATION. MEMPHIS LUNG PHYSICIANS FOUNDATION, INC. HAS HAD A LONG HISTORY OF WORKING WITH BAPTIST MEMORIAL HEALTH CARE CORPORATION AND RELATED ENTITIES. MEMPHIS LUNG PHYSICIANS FOUNDATION, INC. HAS PLAYED A MAJOR ROLE IN DEVELOPING NATIONALLY RECOGNIZED INTENSIVE CARE SERVICES AT THE BAPTIST MEMORIAL HOSPITALS AND DEVELOPING SLEEP MEDICINE SERVICES THAT ARE OFFERED BY THE HOSPITALS. PHYSICIANS AT MEMPHIS LUNG PHYSICIANS FOUNDATION, INC. HAVE WORKED TO IMPROVE THE OUTCOMES OF PATIENTS IN THE BAPTIST MEMORIAL HOSPITALS' INTENSIVE CARE UNITS BY DECREASING HOSPITAL ACQUIRED INFECTIONS COMMON TO INTENSIVE CARE PATIENTS.
