DEVELOP AND STEWARD PHILANTHROPIC GIFTS TO HELP MEET THE HEALTHCARE NEEDS OF EASTERN RIO BLANCO COUNTY. SUPPORT THE PROGRAMS AND SERVICES FOR PIONEERS MEDICAL CENTER, MEEKER FAMILY HEALTH CENTER, COLORADO ADVANCED ORTHOPEDICS, AND THE WALBRIDGE WING, AS THEY RELATE TO IMPROVING HEALTHCARE IN THE COMMUNITY.


MEALS ON WHEELS IS A PROGRAM THAT DELIVERS MEALS TO ELDERLY COMMUNITY MEMBERS AT THEIR HOME. THIS PROGRAM ENSURES THAT ELDERLY RESIDENTS OF EASTERN RIO BLANCO COUNTY HAVE NUTRITIONAL MEALS UP TO FIVE TIMES A WEEK.


GROW YOUR OWN IS A WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM DESIGNED TO ADDRESS THE WORKFORCE SHORTAGE OF HEALTHCARE WORKERS IN THE COMMUNITY. THE PROGRAM INCLUDES SCHOLARSHIPS, INTERNSHIPS, SHADOWING DAYS, CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT TRAINING, AND PARTICIPATION IN HANDS-ON INTRODUCTORY HEALTHCARE CAMPS FOR YOUTH. PART OF THIS PROGRAM ADDRESSES THE NEED TO DEVELOP LOCAL PHYSICIANS, NURSES, AND OTHER HEALTHCARE TALENT FOR CAREERS THAT REQUIRE EDUCATION BEYOND THE UNDERGRADUATE LEVEL
