IN 2022, WASHINGTON TRAFFICKING PREVENTION (WTP) REACHED OVER 79,000 PEOPLE THROUGH AWARENESS CAMPAIGNS AND ITS PREVENTION PROGRAMS. IN ADDITION TO PROVIDING PREVENTION EDUCATION AND RAISING AWARENESS AROUND EXPLOITATION, WTP FOCUSED ON CULTIVATING NEW PARTNERSHIPS WHICH RESULTED IN COLLABORATIONS WITH EIGHT NEW ORGANIZATIONS AND STRENGTHENING THOSE PARTNERSHIPS WHICH ALREADY EXIST, PRIMARILY WITHIN PIERCE COUNTY, KING COUNTY AND INDIGENOUS COMMUNITIES ACROSS WASHINGTON.IN SEPTEMBER, WTP ACQUIRED TWO FLAGSHIP PROGRAMS FROM ONE SUCH PARTNER WHICH UNFORTUNATELY HAD TO CLOSE ITS DOORS. THE MEN'S ACCOUNTABILITY PROGRAMS AND YOUTH ENGAGEMENT PROGRAMS WERE AT RISK OF NO LONGER OPERATING, WHICH WOULD RESULT IN INCREASED VIOLENCE IN THE COMMUNITY DUE TO LACKING ACCOUNTABILITY OF THOSE CAUSING VIOLENCE AND PREVENTION OF VIOLENCE FOR YOUNG PEOPLE THROUGH ENGAGEMENT. THUS, WASHINGTON TRAFFICKING PREVENTION TOOK THEM ON AND EXPONENTIALLY EXPANDED ITS PROGRAMS AND TEAM! WTP IS NOW UNIQUELY POSITIONED TO SERVE COMMUNITIES THROUGHOUT WASHINGTON MORE MEANINGFULLY AND HOLISTICALLY."EMPOWERED U" REACHED 133 YOUNG PEOPLE.

PROVIDED "ONLINE SAFETY FOR FAMILIES AND PROVIDED THE "FAMILY TECHNOLOGY TOOLKIT" TO 193 PARENTS AND CAREGIVERS. REACHED 93 MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS WITH INFORMATION ON HUMAN TRAFFICKING.
