THE ORGANIZATION PROMOTES EARLY EDUCATION AND LITERACY BY DELIVERING BOOKS MONTHLY TO BABIES, TODDLERS AND PRESCHOOL CHILDREN AT NO COST TO THE FAMILY.

THE ORGANIZATION DELIVERS BOOKS TO APPROXIMATELY 75% OF INFANTS, TODDLERS AND PRESCHOOL CHILDREN LIVING IN GRANT COUNTY AND PROVIDES PARENT EDUCATION RELATED TO THE BENEFITS OF TALKING, PLAYING, SINGING AND READING WITH YOUNG CHILDREN. PARENT SURVEYS AND LOCAL RESEARCH SHOW THAT CAREGIVERS READ MORE FREQUENTLY TO THEIR CHILDREN SINCE ENROLLING IN THE IMAGINATION LIBRARY, AND KINDERGARTEN THROUGH THIRD GRADE READING PROFICIENCY SCORES ARE HIGHER FOR STUDENTS WHO PARTICIPATED IN THE PROGRAM. THE ORGANIZATION HAS HELPED TO PROMOTE AND EXPAND DOLLY PARTON'S IMAGINATION LIBRARY IN NEW MEXICO BY SUPPORTING NEW AFFILIATES IN THE STATE.
