IN 2021, SMART FAMILY LITERACY, INC. PARTNERED WITH EDUCATORS IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS, CHILDCARE CENTERS, AND OTHER NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS TO TEACH HANDS-ON ACTIVITIES AND TO STRENGTHEN EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION. SMART EMPLOYED STRONG PARTNERSHIPS TO DISTRIBUTE 30,311 CHILDREN'S BOOKS TO YOUNG CHILDREN AND THE ADULTS WHO CARE FOR THEM AND TEACH THEM, INCLUDING PARENTS AND TEACHERS. THROUGH NETWORKING AND PARTNERSHIPS SMART GAVE BOOK TO 8,138 CHILDREN IN GALVESTON COUNTY. SMART CONTINUED TO PROVIDE LITERACY TRAINING TO EDUCATORS, VOLUNTEERS, AND PARENTS IN OUTDOOR CLASSROOMS AND ONLINE, BUT ALSO RESUMED IN-PERSON ACTIVITIES.
