VALLEY AMBULANCE PROVIDES EMERGENCY CARE AND TRANSPORTATION TO THE COMMUNITY OF GRAFTON AND THE SURROUNDING AREA. IT HANDLES APPOXIMATELY 800 CALLS FOR HELP PER YEAR.THE AMBULANCE SERVICE MAINTAINS FOUR AMBULANCES AND ONE AUTO EXTRICATION RESCUE VEHICLE TO PROVIDE EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE 24 HOURS A DAY. THE AMBULANCE SERVICE MAINTAINS ALL VEHICLES, EQUIPMENT AND RADIOS SO THEY ARE FUNCTIONAL AND SAFE. THE SERVICE MAINTAINS A LARGE BUILDING TO HOUSE THE VEHICLES AND IS USES A CLASSROOM FOR TRAINING SESSIONS. VALLEY AMBULANCE OFFERS THE NATIONAL EMT CLASS EVERY YEAR FOR THE GENERAL PUBLIC. THESE CLASS OFFERINGS INCLUDE CPR, AMERICAN RED CROSS ADVANCED FIRST AID, WEATHER WATCH AND AUTO EXTRICATION. THE BUILDING IS ALSO USED TO TRAIN THE VOLUNTEERS.
