MARY'S EMS, DBA ESSENTIA HEALTH EMS, IS ORGANIZED AND SHALL BE OPERATED TO OWN, MAINTAIN, OPERATE AND CONDUCT, DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, EMERGENCY MEDICAL AND TRANSPORTATION SERVICES AND TO ASSIST AND COORDINATE ACTIVITIES OF FACILITIES FOR HEALTH CARE, CARE FOR THE AGED, SOCIAL SERVICES, AND EDUCATION IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE CHARITABLE WORKS TRADITION OF THE ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH. IN KEEPING WITH THIS SPECIFIC PURPOSE, ALL WORKS OF ESSENTIA HEALTH EMS SHALL BE CARRIED OUT IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE CHARISM OF THE BENEDICTINE SISTERS BENEVOLENT ASSOCIATION, A MINNESOTA NONPROFIT CORPORATION.IN FURTHERANCE OF ITS MISSION, ESSENTIA HEALTH EMS PROVIDES EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES. ESSENTIA HEALTH EMS PROVIDES SUCH SERVICES IN THE COUNTIES OF CARLTON, NORMAN, ITASCA, BECKER, POLK AND PINE IN MINNESOTA. ESSENTIA HEALTH EMS IS LICENSED FOR ADVANCED LIFE SUPPORT, THE HIGHEST LEVEL OF LICENSE AVAILABLE. THIS LICENSE ALLOWS IT TO EMPLOY PARAMEDICS, PHYSICIANS AND NURSES TO PERFORM PHARMACEUTICAL MONITORING AND INVASIVE PROCEDURES.
