PROSTART PROGRAM PROVIDES CULINARY AND MANAGEMENT TRAINING FOR THE FUTURE LEADERS OF THE RESTAURANT INDUSTRY. PROSTART STUDENTS RECEIVE CLASSROOM TRAINING, MENTORED WORK EXPERIENCE, MARKETABLE JOB SKILLS, AND ACCESS TO COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS. CURRENTLY, THERE ARE APPROXIMATELY 4,000 PROSTART STUDENTS IN 75 HIGH SCHOOLS AND TECHNICAL CENTERS IN MISSOURI. PROSTART STUDENTS ALSO HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO DEMONSTRATE THEIR SKILLS IN ANNUAL STATE AND NATIONAL CULINARY AND MANAGEMENT COMPETITIONS.
