NEW MEXICO XTREME SPORTS ASSOCIATION, INC.'S (NMX) IS A YOUTH-FOCUSED, YOUTH-DRIVEN AVENUE TO INTRODUCE, DEVELOP AND PROFESSIONALLY IMPLEMENT SKILLS IN THE ARTS, MUSIC, OUTDOOR RECREATION, AND NONTRADITIONAL SPORTS.

WAREHOUSE 508 PROVIDES A WIDE RANGE OF PROGRAMMING AND EVENTS GEARED TOWARDS YOUTH IN NEW MEXICO. WORKING OUT OF A 26,000 SQUARE FOOT WAREHOUSE IN DOWNTOWN ALBUQUERQUE, 508'S YOUTH CREATIVE COUNCIL AND STAFF IMPLEMENT PROGRAMS FROM CONCEPT TO COMPLETION, INCLUDING ROCK CONCERTS, POETRY SLAMS AND WRITING WORKSHOPS, FILM EDITING CLASSES, AND MENTORSHIPS IN GRAPHIC DESIGN. THE YOUTH CREATIVE COUNCIL CONSISTS OF YOUTH AND YOUNG ADULTS AGES 15 TO 21 MAKING 508 A VENUE FOR YOUTH, BY YOUTH.


NMX PROVIDES SAFE, STRUCTURED AND AFFORDABLE WAYS FOR YOUTH TO PARTICIPATE IN NONTRADITIONAL SPORTS LIKE SNOWBOARDING AND ROCK CLIMBING. NMX'S IGO PROGRAM ENCOURAGES YOUTH TO ENGAGE IN COMMUNITY SERVICE WHILE EARNING CREDITS APPLICABLE TO NMX AND 508 TRIPS, WORKSHOPS, CLASSES AND PROGRAMS. NMX TAKES OUTDOOR RECREATION EXCURSIONS, HOSTS YOUTH-FOCUSED COMPETITION AND/OR ARRANGES LEARN-TO PROGRAMS NEARLY EVERY WEEKEND, YEAR-ROUND.
