CONFLICT RESOLUTION AND VIOLENCE PREVENTION ASSISTANCE TO AT-RISK POPULATIONS IN THREE CATEGORIES: 1. STUDENTS, TEACHERS, ADMINISTRATORS, STAFF MEMBERS AND DISTRICT PERSONNEL LEARN CONFLICT RESOLUTION SKILLS AND RESTORATIVE PRACTICES, WHERE EVERYONE INVOLVED IN HARM WORKS TOGETHER TO SOLVE HARM TO THE GREATEST EXTENT POSSIBLE. RESTORATIVE PRACTICES AND CONFLICT RESOLUTION SKILLS REDUCE CONFLICT THAT CAN LEAD TO VIOLENCE, REDUCE SUSPENSIONS AND CONTRIBUTES TO THE OVERALL WELL-BEING OF SCHOOL COMMUNITY MEMBERS. 2. INCARCERATED AND FORMERLY INCARCERATED MEN AND WOMEN ARE TAUGHT SKILLS FOR CONFLICT RESOLUTION TO HELP THEM BUILD SUCCESSFUL RELATIONSHIPS WITH THEIR FAMILIES, AT WORK AND IN THE COMMUNITY. RESTORATIVE JUSTICE PROCESSES ASSIST PEOPLE REENTERING THE COMMUNITY TO FIND THE SUPPORT AND SERVICES THEY NEED TO AVOID RE-OFFENDING. 3. CITY OFFICES, COURTS, POLICE OFFICERS, NEIGHBORHOOD ASSOCIATIONS AND NEIGHBORS REFER CASES TO THE CENTER FOR CONFLICT RESOLUTION (CCR) FOR MEDIATION, GROUP FACILITATION AND RESTORATIVE JUSTICE PROCESSES. CCR OFFERS PROFESSIONAL SERVICES THAT DIVERT CASES FROM THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM TO PROCESSES THAT ARE BASED ON SELF-RESPONSIBILITY, COOPERATION AND SUPPORT FOR VICTIMS AND OFFENDERS AND COMMUNITY MEMBERS TO MEET THE NEEDS CAUSED BY HARM.
