INTERNATIONAL MARKETING PROGRAM HEALTH - FMD EXPORT PROMOTION PROGRAM ($45,000); JAPAN CERTIFICATES HAVE MOVED TO BEING SIGNED IN DOCUSIGN. PROCESSED 2,078 ORDERS FOR 623.844 UNITS OF SEMEN JULY 1, 2021-JUNE 30, 2022.
TECHNICAL PROGRAMS - THE ASSOCIATION HOLDS A BIENNIAL TECHNICAL CONFERENCE ON ARTIFICIAL INSEMINATION AND REPRODUCTION FOR MEMBERS AND GUESTS WITH A COMPLETE PROGRAM. FY21 CONFERENCE CANCELLED DUE TO COVID. IN-PERSON CONFERENCE SCHEDULED TO BE HELD OCTOBER 27-29, 2021 (FY22), HOWEVER WAS CANCELLED AGAIN BECAUSE OF PANDEMIC. NOW SCHEDULED IN MILWAUKEE, WI FOR SEPTEMBER 23-25, 2022.
GENETICS/INDUSTRY RELATIONS/BEEF - THE ASSOCIATION MAINTAINS A DATABASE OF ALL DAIRY BULLS USED IN ARTIFICIAL INSEMINATION CURRENTLY AT 108,310 + ANIMALS. WE HAVE DONE CONSIDERABLE WORK DEVELOPING THE SEPARATE BEEF DATABASE AND NOW HAVE 28,830 RECORDS WITH MORE BEING ADDED WEEKLY. WE ARE CONTINUING TO WORK WITH MEMBERS AND STUD LOCATIONS TO ADD ALL NAAB CODES ASSIGNED TO ANIMALS.
EXPORT PROMOTION - DR. EAGLEN AND ELIZA ROBERTS VISITED TURKEY IN JANUARY 2022 TO MEET WITH THE AG ATTACHE AND IMPORTERS TO RESOLVE ISSUE REGARDING SEMEN QUALITY. DR. EAGLEN TRAVELED TO MOROCCO IN MAY 2022 TO MEET WITH FAS STAFF AND THE MINISTRY OF AGRICULTURE AND TO PRESENT THE RESULTS OF THE GENOMIC TESTING PROJECT THAT WAS COORDINATED BY NAAB.
