THE PRINCIPAL BUSINESS AND PURPOSE OF THIS ASSOCIATION SHALL BE TO UNITE THOSE INDIVIDUALS AND ORGANIZATIONS ENGAGED IN THE ARTIFICIAL INSEMINATION OF CATTLE AND OTHER LIVESTOCK INTO AN AFFILIATED FEDERATION OPERATING UNDER SELF-IMPOSED STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE AND CONDUCT, TO PROMOTE THE MUTUAL INTERESTS AND IDEALS OF ITS MEMBERS, AND TO DEVELOP AND RECOMMEND PROCEDURES TO PROTECT USERS OF SEMEN, AND PERSONS AND CORPORATIONS UTILIZING ARTIFICIAL INSEMINATION, TO THE EXTENT TECHNICALLY FEASIBLE.

EXPORT PROMOTION - DR. EAGLEN AND JAY WEIKER TRAVELED TO KENYA IN JULY, 2022 WORKING TO RESOLVE A TRADE BARRIER (GENETIC CRITERIA FOR IMPORTS) WITH GOVERNMENT AND INDUSTRY LIAISONS. IN OCTOBER 2022, DR. EAGLEN TRAVELED TO THE UK AS THE INDUSTRY LIAISON TO ATTEND ICAR AND EFFAB MEETINGS. DR. EAGLEN TRAVELED TO GERMANY IN NOVEMBER 2022 TO ATTEND EUROTIER WITH USLGE AND COLLEAGUE MEMBERS. DR. MEYER AND DR. EAGLEN TRAVELED TO BRAZIL IN DECEMBER 2022 TO VISIT COLLECTION CENTERS THAT HOUSE US BULLS AND NAAB MEMBERS OFFICES. JANUARY 2023 BROUGHT DR. EAGLEN TO TUNISIA FOR MARKET DEVELOPMENT AND TO ESTABLISH RELATIONSHIPS WITH KEY STAKEHOLDERS. IN MARCH, DR. EAGLEN ATTENDED VIV ASIA IN THAILAND. DR. EAGLEN RETURNED TO MOROCCO IN LATE APRIL-EARLY MAY TO GIVE A SEMINAR AT THE SIAM AG CONFERENCE IN MEKNES.
TECHNICAL PROGRAMS - THE ASSOCIATION HOLDS A BIENNIAL TECHNICAL CONFERENCE ON ARTIFICIAL INSEMINATION AND REPRODUCTION FOR MEMBERS AND GUESTS WITH A COMPLETE PROGRAM. FY22 CONFERENCE WAS HELD IN MILWAUKEE, WI SEPTEMBER 23-25, 2022.
GENETICS/INDUSTRY RELATIONS/BEEF - THE ASSOCIATION MAINTAINS A DATABASE OF ALL DAIRY BULLS USED IN ARTIFICIAL INSEMINATION CURRENTLY AT 108,310 + ANIMALS. WE HAVE DONE CONSIDERABLE WORK DEVELOPING THE SEPARATE BEEF DATABASE AND NOW HAVE 28,830 RECORDS WITH MORE BEING ADDED WEEKLY. WE ARE CONTINUING TO WORK WITH MEMBERS AND STUD LOCATIONS TO ADD ALL NAAB CODES ASSIGNED TO ANIMALS.
