THE MISSION OF LOVE INC IS TO MOBILIZE LOCAL CHURCHES, INDIVIDUALS, AND BUSINESSES TO TRANSFORM LIVES AND COMMUNITIES AFFECTED BY POVERTY AND TO DO THIS IN THE NAME OF CHRIST. TO BE A PLACE WHERE PEOPLE IN NEED CAN CONNECT WITH PEOPLE WHO CARE.

CLEARINGHOUSE: LOVE INC OF CLAY COUNTY IS A CLEARINGHOUSE FOR SERVICES FOR THE POOR AND IS CONNECTED WITH OVER 300 LOCAL AGENCIES, PROGRAMS, SERVICES OR RESOURCES FOR FAMILIES IN POVERTY. IN 2021 LOVE INC RECEIVED 1,099 TELEPHONE CALLS AND 404 APPLICATIONS FOR ASSISTANCE, AND APPROVED 123. THAT YEAR, A TOTAL OF 1,129 HOUSEHOLDS REPRESENTING 4,971 INDIVIDUALS RECEIVED SOME TYPE OF ASSISTANCE, FROM A REFERRAL, OR AN EMERGENCY KIT FOR THE HOMELESS, TO ASSISTANCE WITH RENT TO AVOID AN EVICTION. LOVE INC OF CLAY COUNTY HAD 50 REGULAR VOLUNTEERS WHO TOOK CALLS, PROCESSED APPLICATIONS, AND MET WITH CLIENTS IN SUPPORT OF THIS PROGRAM, AND NUMEROUS EVENT VOLUNTEERS.
LOVE INC PROVIDES EMERGENCY RENT AND UTILITY ASSISTANCE FOR FAMILIES FACING AN EVICTION OR THE SHUT-OFF OF THEIR UTILITIES. IN 2021, 15 FAMILIES (47 INDIVIDUALS) WERE ABLE TO STAY IN THEIR HOMES AVOIDING AN EVICTION, AND 64 FAMILIES (191 INDIVIDUALS) EITHER KEPT OR HAD THEIR UTILITIES RECONNECTED. IN ADDITION TO THE ASSISTANCE PROVIDED, LOVE INC ALSO OFFERED EACH FAMILY SIX-MONTHS OF ASSISTANCE FROM OUR HOUSEHOLD AND PERSONAL CARE PANTRY.
LOVE INC, IN PARTNERSHIP WITH HAPPY BOTTOMS, PROVIDES DIAPERS AND BABY CARE PRODUCTS FOR FAMILIES IN NEED. IN 2020 LOVE INC DISTRIBUTED $24,500 IN PRODUCTS TO HELP BABIES - $11,926 IN DIAPERS AND $12,574 IN BABY CARE PRODUCTS.
