MISSOURI BAPTIST HEALTHCARE FOUNDATION IS THE FUND DEVELOPMENT ORGANIZATION FOR (SEE SCHEDULE O) MISSOURI BAPTIST MEDICAL CENTER (MBMC). THE FOUNDATION IDENTIFIES, CULTIVATES, SOLICITS, AND COMMUNICATES WITH DONORS TO SUPPORT PROGRAMS, EQUIPMENT PURCHASES, AND PROJECTS FOR THE CHARITABLE ACTIVITIES OF MBMC AND RELATED EXEMPT ORGANIZATIONS.

CAPITAL: THE FOUNDATION PROVIDED A NEGATIVE EIGHTY FREEZER FOR RESEARCH SAMPLES IN THE CANCER CENTER, MICROSCOPE FOR RENAL ANALYSIS, HEARING SCREENING MACHINE FOR THE PICU, VIDEO LARYNGOSCOPES FOR THE NICU, TEE PROBE FOR THE OPERATING ROOM AND CVR, RELAXATION ROOM RENOVATION, X-RAY MACHINE FOR RADIOLOGY, AND SUPPORT FOR THE ALTON MEMORIAL RESIDENCY PROGRAM WITH SOUTHERN ILLINOIS UNIVERSITY.


PATIENT CARE: THE FOUNDATION PROVIDED SUPPORT TO PATIENTS WHO WERE IN NEED OF FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE. IN 2021, WE ALSO UNDERWROTE THE MAMMOGRAPHY VAN RURAL MISSOURI BREAST SCREENING AND EDUCATION PROGRAM; ART, MASSAGE, AND MUSIC THERAPY WAS PROVIDED FOR INPATIENTS AND CANCER PATIENTS; IN ADDITION, FUNDS WERE PROVIDED TO UNDERWRITE LUNG CANCER SCREENING, AND LYMPHEDEMA SCREEING. GARMENTS WERE PROVIDED FOR THERAPY PATIENTS WITH NO INSURANCE COVERAGE. NUTRITIONAL SUPPORT WAS GIVEN TO CANCER PATIENTS UNDERGOING TREATMENT. A STROKE SURVIVORSHIP PROGRAM WAS CREATED.


EXTERNAL COMMUNITY: UNRESTRICTED COMMUNITY AWARDS WERE MADE TO ANNIE'S HOPE GRIEF SUPPORT PROGRAMS AND CANCER SUPPORT COMMUNITY FOR GRIEF SUPPORT PROGRAMMING. GATEWAY TO HOPE RECEIVED AN UNRESTRICTED GRANT TO SUPPORT THEIR MISSION, (ASSISTANCE FOR WOMEN UNDERGOING BREASTCARE TREATMENT). CIRCLE OF CONCERN RECEIVED A GRANT FOR HEALTH EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIPS. RX OUTREACH RECEIVED AN UNRESTRICTED GRANT IN SUPPORT OF THEIR MISSION TO SUPPLY MEDS FOR COMMUNITY MEMEBERS WHO CANNOT AFFORD MEDICATIONS. HOSCO SHIFT INC. AND OPERATION FOOD SEARCH RECEIVED AN AWARD FOR A DIABETES PILOT PROGRAM. EDUCATIONAL SCHOLARSHIPS WERE PROVIDED TO COMMUNITY INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE PURSUING HEALTHCARE DEGREES.


EDUCATION, OPERATIONS, RESEARCH, AND SCHOLARSHIPS: HEALTH AND WELLNESS FUNDS WERE PROVIDED FOR A MEDITATION SERIES. TUTION FUNDS WERE PROVIDED FOR SELECTED MBMC LEADERS TO ATTEND A PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENT CERTIFICATE PROGRAM THROUGH WASHINGTON UNIVERSITY. NURSING AWARDS WERE UNDERWRITTEN. PASTORAL CARE DEPARTMENT OPERATIONS WERE UNDERWRITTEN. FUNDS PROVIDED FOR CANCER RESEARCH PATIENT ACCRUALS IN RURAL CANCER CLINIC. NURSING SCHOLARHSIPS WERE GIVEN IN SUPPORT OF MULTIPLE LEVELS OF DEGREE-LEVEL LEARNING.
