THE ORGANIZATION'S PROGRAM SERVICE ACTIVITY IS TO SUPPORT WILSONS CREEK NATIONAL BATTLEFIELD. A PERIODIC NEWSLETTER, ANNUAL REPORT AND OTHER PUBLICATIONS ARE PRODUCED FOR MEMBERS AND CONTRIBUTORS. APPROXIMATELY 500 PERSONS BENEFIT FROM THESE PUBLICATIONS
THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDED FOUR GRANTS TO SUPPORT THE BATTLEFIELD, INCLUDING PURCHASES OF: 1) FRANZ SIGEL ARTIFACT COLLECTION 2) GENERAL SAMUEL CURTIS ARTIFACT 3) 1897 REUNION RIBBON AND 4) MARY PHELPS WHITNEY MANUSCRIPT. THESE ARE IMPORTANT AND HISTORIC COLLECTIONS OF ARTIFACTS THAT WILL BENEFIT THE AMERICAN PUBLIC FOR GENERATIONS TO COME.
EXPLORER SUMMER QUEST CAMP WAS HOSTED FOR NINE-TO-TWELVE YEAR OLD KIDS TO GIVE THEM AN IN-DEPTH EXPERIENCE AT THE BATTLEFIELD. APPROXIMATELY 60 KIDS BENEFITED.
