THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION SIGNED AN AGREEMENT WITH JEFFERSON COUNTY TO BECOME THE ADMINISTRATIVE AGENT FOR THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT. ALL EXPENSES INCURRED ARE REIMBURSED BY THE COUNTY OF JEFFERSON THROUGH THE BLOCK GRANT AND EQUIPMENT PURCHASED UNDER THE PROGRAM BECOMES THE PROPERTY OF JEFFERSON COUNTY. THE EDC ALSO PREPARES AND PACKAGES SMALL BUSINESS LOAN APPLICATIONS FOR SUBMISSION TO THE SMALL BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION. THE EDC IS RESPONSIBLE FOR LOAN FOLLOW UP AND SERVICING AFTER FUNDING.
THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION PROMOTES THE BUSINESS ENVIRONMENT OF JEFFERSON COUNTY, MISSOURI AND ASSISTS IN THE CREATION AND EXPANSION OF BUSINESS IN THE AREA.
