AN ANNUAL CONVENTION IS HELD IN SEPTEMBER EACH YEAR. THIS ANNUAL CONVENTION CREATES AND ATMOSPHERE TO SOCIALIZE, DISCUSS PROBLEMS, EXCHANGE NEW IDEAS AND PARTICIPATE IN PROGRAMS FEATURING BOTH STATE AND ELECTED OFFICIALS AND REGULATORS OF THE BANKING INDUSTRY IN MISSOURI. BANK-RELATED BUSINESSES PROVIDING PRODUCTS AND SERVICES ARE ENCOURAGED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE EXHIBIT AND TRADE SHOW AT THE ANNUAL CONVENTION. SPECIAL INFORMAITON AND EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS ARE HELD IN CONJUNCTION WITH THIS ANNUAL MEETING. IN 2019, THE WERE APPROXIMATELY 74 EXHIBITORS, 113 BANKERS REGISTERED AND APPROXIMATELY 42 OTHER REGISTRATIONS.
THE ASSOCIATION OFFERS A WORKSHOP FOR MEMBER BANKS' BOARD OF DIRECTORS EACH YEAR IN MAY AT A LOCATION CONVENIENT TO THE STATEWIDE MEMBERSHIP. WORKSHOP TOPICS RELATED TO ISSUES OF IMPORTANCE TO THE BANKING INDUSTRY FOR BANK DIRECTORS AND MANAGEMENT ARE PRESENTED IN AN INFORMAL AND RELAXED ATMOSPHERE. IN 2019, THERE WERE 125 PARTICIPANTS.
THE ASSOCIATIONS EDUCATION PROGRAM PROVIDES TELEPHONE, ON DEMAND WEB LINKS AND AUDIO-VISUAL CD-ROM SEMINARS. THESE SEMINARS ARE AFFORDABLE, EFFICIENT AND EFFECTIVE TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES BROUGH IN HOUSE TO COMMUNITY BANKS. ONE OR TWO LIVE SEMINARS PRESENTED VAI TELEPHONE, INTERNET OR CD-ROM ARE OFFERED EACH WEEK. TEH ASSOCIATION ALSO HOLD AND ANNUAL SECURITY CONFERENCE FOR COMMUNITY BANK SECURITY OFFICERS. TOPICS FOCUS ON BOTH BANK SECURITY AND IT SECURITY. THE ASSOCIATION ALSO HOLDS A LEGAL AND COMPLAINCE UPDATE ANNUALLY.
