THE ST. LOUIS ARTISTS GUILD (GUILD) INSPIRES ART EXPERIENCES THROUGH EXTRAORDINARY EXHIBITIONS, INTERACTIVE ART EDUCATION, OUTREACH TO UNDERSERVED AUDIENCES, AND BY FOSTERING CREATIVITY THROUGHOUT THE COMMUNITY.

THE EDUCATION PROGRAM INCLUDES LECTURES, CLASSES AND WORKSHOPS. MOST LECTURES AND DISCUSSSION GROUPS SUPPORTING THE EXHIBITIONS IN THE GALLERY AND TALKS SPONSORED BY OUR SECTIONS SMALLER GROUPS THAT MEET FOR A PARTICULAR AREA OF INTEREST ARE FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. ARTISTS AND INDIVIDUALS INTERESTED IN THE ARTISTIC PROCESS GAIN INSIGHT INTO HOW IT IS MADE AND AN ARTISTICS CAREER. DAY AND EVENING CLASSES AND WORKSHOPS FOR ADULTS AND CHILDREN ARE OFFERED IN A WIDE VARIETY OF DISCIPLINES. MEMBERS RECEIVED A CLASS FEE DISCOUNT AND THE GUILD OFFERS SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES. ONE OF THE LONGEST RUNNING SKETCH GROUPS OF 25 YEARS CONTINUES TO MEET ON TUESDAY EVENINGS. THE GUILD OFFERS FREE CHILDRENS PROGRAMMING, ON AND OFF-SITE AND LOW-COST FAMILY ACTIVITIES. THE GUILD PRESENTS A SERIES OF JURIED, CURATED, AND INVITATIONAL ART EXHIBITIONS, EXHIBIT RELATED TALKS, SPONSORSHIP OF EVENTS, DEMONSTRATIONS, DOCENT TOURS, WORKSHOPS, PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND EDUCATIONAL OUTREACH ENHANCE THE ART EXPERIENCE. THERE WERE OVER 5,000 ATTENDEES DURING THE YEAR.
