LABOR RELATIONS - THE CHAPTER HOLDS THE COLLECTIVE BARGAINING RIGHTS FOR AN AVERAGE OF 192 ELECTRICAL AND COMMUNICATION CONTRACTORS WORKING IN EASTERN MISSOURI. NECA IS RESPONSIBLE TO NEGOTIATE AND ADMINISTER MORE THAN 10 LABOR AGREEMENTS COVERING UP TO 4,000 WORKERS.
SUBSTANCE ABUSE - UNION WORKERS MOVE FROM EMPLOYER TO EMPLOYER VIA UNION HIRING HALL FREQUENTLY AS PROJECTS COMPLETE AND WORK LOADS SHIFT. NECA ADMINISTERS SUBSTANCE ABUSE EDUCATION, DRUG TESTS, AND RECORD KEEPING FOR UNION WORKFORCE ON A POOLED BASIS AND DOCUMENTS THE RESULTS FOR EMPLOYERS AND CUSTOMERS.
