PAL PARTNERS WITH THE LOCAL POLICE DEPARTMENT TO IMPLEMENT & FOSTER A GREATER CONNECTION BETWEEN LAW ENFORCEMENT, CITIES, & COMMUNITIES THROUGH RECREATIONAL SPORTS & ITS MENTORING PROGRAMS, WHICH HELP KIDS TO IMPROVE/ DEVELOP COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP, SOCIAL SKILLS, & CONFIDENCE.

PALS PRIMARY GOAL IS TO FOSTER A GREATER CONNECTION BETWEEN LAW ENFORCEMENT, CITIES, AND COMMUNITIES THROUGH RECREATIONAL SPORTS AND ITS MENTORING PROGRAMS FOR THE PURPOSE OF IMPROVING OR DEVELOPING THEIR CAPABILITIES. THE ORGANIZATION WANTS TO HELP KIDS BUILD COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP SKILLS, SOCIAL SKILLS, AND CONFIDENCE THROUGH PARTICIPATION IN TEAM SPORTS AND MENTORING. PAL HAS APPROXIMATELY 1,348 CHILDREN ANNUALLY BETWEEN THE AGES OF 5 AND 18 INVOLVED IN A VARIETY OF SPORTS INCLUDING BASKETBALL, BASEBALL, CHEERLEADING, FOOTBALL, SOCCER, TRACK AND VOLLEYBALL AND ITS MENTORING PROGRAMS. THE ORGANIZATION HELPED OVER 200 IMPOVERISHED KIDS/FAMILIES BY SPONSORING THEM TO PARTICIPATE IN VARIOUS TEAM SPORTS.
PAL WORKS WITH OVER 134 COACHES, UMPIRES, REFEREES, AND COMMUNITY VOLUNTEERS TO PROVIDE A FUN, SAFE, AND HEALTHY ENVIRONMENT FOR KIDS OF ALL AGES AND EXPERIENCE LEVELS. THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES SPORTING EQUIPMENT AND SUPPLIES, PLUS INCURS OTHER EXPENSES FROM TRYOUTS AND VARIOUS EVENTS. IN ADDITION, PAL HELPED 24 STUDENT VOLUNTEER SECURE NEEDED VOLUNTEER HOURS IN ORDER TO HELP THEM GRADUATE AND TO HELP SCHOLARSHIPS THAT REQUIRE VOLUNTEER HOURS LIKE BRIGHT FUTURES.
PAL HAS INSURANCE COVERAGE TO PROTECT PLAYERS, COACHES, UMPIRES, REFEREES, COMMUNITY VOLUNTEERS, AND BOARD MEMBERS IN CASE OF INJURY TO THE PARTICIPANTS. ADDITIONALLY, PAL PAYS DUES TO BOTH THE NATIONAL POLICE ATHLETIC ACTIVITIES LEAGUE AND FLORIDA PAL TO HELP FOSTER THE ORGANIZATIONS MENTORING PROGRAMS.
