IN 2020, AS A RESPONSE TO COVID-19, THE ALLIANCE LAUNCHED THE REGENERATIVE RECOVERY COALITION (THE RRC), WHICH IS A COLLABORATION OF OVER 390 NONPROFITS, BUSINESSES, ACADEMIC INSTITUTIONS, GOVERNMENT AGENCIES, AND INDIVIDUALS BOLDLY WORKING TOGETHER TO BUILD A REGENERATIVE SOCIETY. A REGENERATIVE SOCIETY DELIVERS WELLBEING BY MEETING HUMAN NEEDS ABUNDANTLY IN WAYS THAT STRENGTHEN OUR NATURAL AND SOCIAL LIFE SUPPORT SYSTEMS. IT'S AN ECONOMY IN SERVICE TO LIFE! IT ENHANCES HUMAN DIGNITY, AS IT ENSURES ECOLOGICAL INTEGRITY.
THE ALLIANCE CENTER DEMONSTRATES SUSTAINABILITY IN ACTION THROUGH OUR HIGH-PERFORMANCE BUILDING INITIATIVES, BY MANAGING OUR CERTIFIED-GREEN EVENT SPACE, AND THROUGH OUR LEED-PLATINUM CERTIFIED CO-WORKING SPACE. THIS PROGRAM SUPPORTS OVER 160 ORGANIZATIONS ALIGNED AROUND A COMMON PURPOSE- TO INCREASE THE QUALITY OF LIFE FOR ALL. WE PROVIDE OUR NONPROFIT TENANTS RENT AT A COST LEVEL THAT ALLOWS THESE CHANGE AGENTS TO DO THEIR JOBS BETTER AND WITH MORE IMPACT. WHILE THE BUILDING IS A TOOL FOR US TO ADVANCE OUR MISSION, THE BUILDING ASSET VALUE PRESENTED IN THIS 990 IS NOT LIQUID.
THE ALLIANCE CENTER IS FISCALLY SPONSORING THE STATE OF AMERICAN DEMOCRACY PROJECT, WHOSE GOAL IS TO DEEPEN AND BROADEN THE CONVERSATION ABOUT DEMOCRACY AND CONNECT IT TO EFFECTIVE ACTION TO REPAIR AND STRENGTHEN DEMOCRATIC INSTITUTIONS.
