ALT ENERGY: SOLARIZE EQUITABLE SOLAR SOLUTIONS PROGRAM WORKS TO SUPPLY SOLAR ENERGY TO THOSE WITH THE GREATEST NEED BY DIVERTING SOLAR PANELS FROM THE LANDFILL AND REHOMING THEM TO PROJECTS THAT BENEFIT LOW TO MEDIAN INCOME HOUSEHOLDS. FOR 2021 WE REINSTALLED 13,895 WATTS OF PV MODULES WEIGHING 2219 LBS, 9150 WATTS OF INVERTERS WEIGHING 108 LBS, AND 175 LBS OF RAILS AND MOUNTS.
EDUCATION: YOUTH AND COMMUNITY MEMBERS ENGAGE IN ENVIRONMENTAL AND EXPERIENTIAL EDUCATION, LEARNING ABOUT THEIR ENVIRONMENT, CLIMATE CHANGE, AND HOW TO FIND SOLUTIONS FOR A CHANGING FUTURE. CLASSES, WORKSHOPS, AND FIELD TRIPS ARE OFFERED TO PARTICIPANTS AGED 5-ADULT. IN 2021 WE HOSTED 23 YOUTH AND 51 ADULTS.
LAND MANAGEMENT & REGENERATIVE AGRICULTURE: TRAINING & DEMONSTRATION OF REGENERATIVE AGRICULTURAL PRACTICES ARE PROVIDED TO AGRICULTURAL PRODUCERS AS WELL AS CONSUMERS TO IMPROVE THEIR ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT. IN 2021 WE HOSTED 165 HOURS OF INSTRUCTION, RESEARCH, AND SERVICE LEARNING ON OUR LAND AROUND CLIMATE CHANGE SOLUTIONS.
