EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM THE ORGANIZATION HOSTED AN EDUCATIONAL YOUTH FLY-FISHING CAMP AND PROVIDED SCHOLARSHIPS TO CAMP ATTENDEES. WE ALSO HOSTED A HOISTIC PLANNED GRAZING WORKSHOP AND COURSE WITH 14 COURSE PARITCIPANTS ATTENDING THE FOUR DAY CAMP(INSTRUCTORS PRESENTING THE COURSE WERE SAVORY INSTITUTE CERTIFIED). WE ALSO PROVIDED PROFESSIONAL DEVELPMENT, DIVERSITY EQUITY AND INCLUSION TRAINING, AND ACCESS TO PARTNERSHIPS AS PART OF THIS EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE.
DUE TO STAFF CAPACITY, COLDHARBOUR INSTITUTE HELPED FACILITATE EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMING INSTEAD OF LEADING EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMING AT THE COLDHARBOUR RANCH. WESTFEATHER, A LOCAL GUIDING COMPANY, LED A FLY FISHING CAMP OUT AT THE RANCH, AND THE ORGANIZATION SUPPORTED WESTFEATHER IN IMPLEMENTING THIS PROGRAM WHILE ALSO OFFERING SCHOLARSHIPS TO ATTENDEES.
AFFORDABLE HOUSING: THE TAYLOR HOUSE WAS USED TO PROVIDE SUBSIDIZED HOUSING FOR EIGHT FELLOWS AND EMPLOYEES OF COLDHARBOUR INSTITUTE.
LAND MANAGEMENT: THE ORGANIZATION COMPLETED A WETLAND RESTORATION PLAN AND STREAM ASSESSMENT PLAN TO RESTORE THE COLDHARBOUR RANCH ECOSYSTEM. THE PROCESS INVOLVED SPONSERING STUDENT RESEARCHERS TO PROVIDE DATA AND RESEARCH RESULTS. WETLAND RESTORATION SPECIALIST MICAH RUSSELL PROVIDED EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT IN RESTORATION APPROACHES.
