BLOSSOM'S MISSION IS TO DEVELOP AND PROVIDE A SUCCESSFUL EDUCATIONAL ENVIRONMENT FOR STUDENTS AND FAMILIES OF STUDENTS WHO ARE DEAF, HARD OF HEARING, CODA (CHILDREN OF DEAF ADULTS) AND HEARING SIBLINGS AND PREPARE THEM FOR A LIFETIME OF SUCCESS IN THE COMMUNITY.

BLOSSOM MONTESSORI SCHOOL FOR THE DEAF PROVIDES INNOVATIVE EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES TO CHILDREN (AGES 3 THROUGH 12) WHO ARE DEAF, HARD OF HEARING, HEARING SIBLINGS, AND CHILDREN OF DEAF ADULTS. THE SCHOOL ALSO PROVIDES BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL CARE AND SUMMER CAMP FOR ENROLLED STUDENTS AND A PARENT SCHOOL WHICH HELPS TO INFORM AND INVOLVE THE CHILD'S FAMILY IN THEIR EDUCATION AT BLOSSOM. BLOSSOM ALSO OFFERS A CLASS IN AMERICAN SIGN LANGUAGE TO THE FRIENDS AND FAMILIES OF BLOSSOM STUDENTS AS WELL AS TO THE GENERAL COMMUNITY.BLOSSOM HAS DEVELOPED AN INNOVATIVE CURRICULUM TO MEET THE NEEDS OF THEIR UNIQUE STUDENT BODY. THE CURRICULUM COMBINES THEORY AND PROGRESSION OF MONTESSORI WITH A VARIETY OF APPROACHES TO TEACHING THE DEAF AS WELL AS SOME EXCITING AND GROUNDBREAKING PROGRAMS DESIGNED TO MEET THE NEEDS OF EACH INDIVIDUAL CHILD.
