IJAG PROVIDES A COMPREHENSIVE SCHOOL-TO-CAREER PROGRAM FOR HIGH SCHOOL AND MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS WHO ARE FACED WITH MULTIPLE BARRIERS TO GRADUATION AND LIFE. IJAG OFFERS A CLASSROOM EXPERIENCE THAT HELPS STUDENTS DEVELOP SKILLS TO MANAGE AND/OR OVERCOME THEIR BARRIERS. THEY ENGAGE WITH COMMUNITY THROUGH SERVICE PROJECTS, WITH CIVIC LEADERS WHEN THEY ADVOCATE FOR THEIR PROGRAMS, AND EMPLOYERS AS THEY EXPLORE AND PREPARE FOR CAREERS. STUDENTS DEVELOP LEADERSHIP SKILLS AND DESIGN A PLAN FOR CONTINUAL GROWTH AND IMPROVEMENT. STUDENTS VOLUNTARILY PARTICIPATE IN IJAG AND RECEIVE A CREDIT FOR ENGAGEMENT. DURING THE YEAR OR MORE THAT A STUDENT IS IN IJAG THEY CHANGE AND SEE A FUTURE FULL OF HOPE. MOST ALL DRAMATICALLY IMPROVE THEIR ATTENDANCE, GPA, BEHAVIORS, AND SELF-CONFIDENCE. IJAG BRINGS A GREATER AWARENESS OF SELF, CAREER AND OPPORTUNITIES TO ALL STUDENTS. IJAG STAYS CONNECTED TO STUDENTS FOR 12 MONTHS AFTER THEY GRADUATE FROM HIGH SCHOOL. OUR VISION IS TO LEAD EVERY IJAG STUDENT TO GRADUATION, POST-SECONDARY EDUCATION, A SUCCESSFUL CAREER, AND LIFE-LONG LEARNING.
