THE SHELTER PROVIDES NIGHTLY LODGING, BATHING FACILITIES, WARM EVENING MEAL, COLD BREAKFAST, AND SUPPORT SERVICES TO HOMELESS MEN AND WOMEN WITHOUT CHARGE. THE SHELTER SERVES BETWEEN 157 AND 238 PEOPLE PER NIGHT

TO FULFILL THESE FOOD ACCESS NEEDS FOR THE MOST VULNERABLE MEMBERS OF OUR COMMUNITY, CISS IS UNDERGOING CONSTRUCTION OF A LARGE-SCALE AGRI-HOOD TO INCREASE FOOD PRODUCTION, BUILD CLIENT JOB SKILLS, AND DEVELOP AN ATTRACTIVE GREEN SPACE FOR DOWNTOWN EMPLOYEES AND RESIDENTS. THE AGRI-HOOD INCLUDES A GREENHOUSE WITH VERTICAL GARDENS, AQUAPONICS, OUTDOOR FLOATING GARDEN BEDS, AND AN EXPANDED ORCHARD. THE AGRI-HOOD WILL PROVIDE UP TO 60% OF OUR OWN PROGRAM MEAL NEEDS, MORE THAN DOUBLING OUR CURRENT PRODUCTION.
