HOSPICE OF NORTH IOWA WAS FOUNDED IN 1981 AND WAS ONE OF THE FIRST HOSPICES IN IOWA. HOSPICE CARE MAY BE PROVIDED IN THE HOME, NURSING HOME, HOSPITAL, ASSISTED LIVING UNIT OR RESIDENTIAL FACILITY. WHEN PATIENTS REQUIRE CARE FOR ACUTE SYMPTOMS THAT CANNOT BE MANAGED ELSEWHERE, HOSPICE OF NORTH IOWA ALSO OFFERS INPATIENT CARE THROUGH OUR MUSE NORRIS 6-BED INPATIENT UNIT IN MASON CITY OR IN HOSPITALS IN THE 10-COUNTY SERVICE AREA.WORKING CLOSELY WITH A PATIENT'S PERSONAL PHYSICIAN, OUR EXPERIENCED STAFF PROVIDES THE MOST COMPREHENSIVE HOSPICE CARE AVAILABLE.
