PROVIDING FACILITIES FOR COUNTY FAIR LOCATED IN WOODBURY COUNTY, IOWASERVING A COUNTY POPULATION OF 106,000. A RECENT ADDITION TO THE FAIRIS THE VARIED INDUSTRIES BUILDING WHICH DOUBLES AS A TORNADO SHELTER.THE FAIRGROUNDS HOUSES ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICES, EXHIBITOR BUILDINGS FORLIVESTOCK, FOODSTUFFS, CLOTHING, FARM EQUIPMENT, CAMPING AREA,CONCESSION SPACE, CARNIVAL RIDING AREA, GRANDSTAND WITH TRACK ARENA,OLD TOWN SECTION AND PARKING SPACES COMPLETE THE GROUNDS.
JUDGING CONTESTS:THESE CONTESTS HAVE ENTRIES: HOGS, CATTLE, SHEEP, RABBITS, BIRDS, CHICKENS, GARDEN PRODUCE, PHOTOGRAPHY, CLOTHING, QUILTING, FLOWER ARRANGEMENTS, CANNING, PIES, CAKES, COOKIES, CARPENTRY AND PUBLIC SPEAKING TO NAME A FEW.
ENTERTAINMENT AND EATING:LOCAL AND REGIONAL ACTS PERFORM ON DIFFERENT STAGES FROM THE GRANDSTAND TO THE FREE STAGE. A CARNIVAL IS PROVIDED EACH DAY OF THE FAIR AND MANY CONCESSION STANDS ALSO SERVE THE VARIOUS TASTES OF THE FAIRGOER.
