PROVIDED CONTINUING EDUCATION FOR MEMBERS AND SUPPORTERS THROUGH EVENTS AND CONFERENCES. HOSTED A STATE-WIDE CONFERENCE AND A HANDFUL OF SMALLER EVENTS DURING THE YEAR, INVOLVING APPROXIMATELY 930 PARTICIPANTS.
THE ORGANIZATION WAS ENGAGED IN LEGISLATIVE EFFORTS TO SECURE FUNDING TO PROVIDE QUALITY LIBRARY SERVICES FOR ALL MINNESOTA CITIZENS; ADVOCATED FOR INELLECTUAL FREEDOM AND OPPOSED LIBRARY CENSORSHIP; AND EDUCATED LIBRARY ADVOCATES AND ELECTED OFFICIALS ABOUT COMMUNITY CENTERS AND DESTINATION POINTS.
