NORWOOD SENIORS NETWORK PROVIDES SERVICES TO AREA SENIORS THAT ENABLE THEM TO CONTINUE TO LIVE INDEPENDENTLY IN THEIR OWN HOME. IN 2023, 353 SENIORS RECEIVED SERVICES FROM THE NORWOOD SENIORS NETWORK. THE VOLUME OF SERVICES PROVIDED WAS 28 CLIENTS USING THE VOICE OF EMERGENCY RESPONSE SYSTEM, 66 TRANSPORTS, 8,438 MEAL DELIVERIES AND 33,786 HOURS OF CAREGIVING. THE MEALS ARE DELIVERED BY VOLUNTEERS, WHICH MAKES THIS PROGRAM FEASIBLE AND AFFORDABLE FOR SENIORS.
NORWOOD SENIORS NETWORK OPERATES A LOCAL SENIORS CENTER IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE CITY OF CHICAGO. THE CENTER PROVIDES MEALS, FITNESS, EDUCATIONAL AND SOCIAL PROGRAMS AT NO OR VERY LOW COST TO CHICAGO RESIDENTS 55 AND OLDER. IN 2023, THERE WERE 45,792 VISITS TO THE SENIOR CENTER BY 862 MEMBERS.
