THE ALERTS PROVIDED MEMBERS WITH A SUMMARY OF THE PENDING LEGISLATION AND CONTACT INFORMATION FOR RETAILERS TO CALL OR E-MAIL THEIR ELECTED OFFICIALS ABOUT THE PROPOSED LAW CHANGES.
THE ASSOCIATION CREATED AND MAINTAINED A NEW WEBSITE (WWW.NLAAUSA.ORG) KNOWN AS THE NATIONAL LOCAL ADVOCACY ALLIANCE WEBSITE. THIS WEBSITE PROVIDES RETAILERS WITH CURRENT INFORMATION ON NEW PROPOSED LOCAL ORDINANCES THAT WOULD REGULATE THE SALE OF TOBACCO PRODUCTS.
THE ASSOCIATION CONDUCTED A SERIES OF ON-LINE EDUCATIONAL WEBINARS FOR MEMBERS TO ATTEND BECAUSE THE PANDEMIC PREVENTED THE ASSOCIATION FROM CONDUCTING IN-PERSON EDUCATIONAL SEMINARS FOR MEMBERS.
THE ASSOCIATION ASSISTED RETAIL MEMBERS IN 30 SATES IN CONTACTING THEIR STATE LEGISLATORS REGARDING PENDING LEGISLATION THAT RELATED TO THEIR RETAIL TOBACCO BUSINESS.
