THE MIDWEST POULTRY CONSORTIUM'S CENTER OF EXCELLENCE (COE) PROGRAM OFFERS STRONG RESEARCH-BASED POULTRY SCIENCE EDUCATION IN A WELCOMING, FRIENDLY ENVIRONMENT. FACULTY AND INDUSTRY MEMBERS THROUGHOUT THE PARTICIPATING STATES COLLABORATE TO PROVIDE STUDENTS WITH A UNIQUE EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE. DURING THE YEAR ENDED OCTOBER 31, 2021, THIRTY STUDENTS WERE SERVED THROUGH THE COE PROGRAM.
THE MIDWEST POULTRY CONSORTIUM'S RESEARCH PROGRAM WAS CREATED TO EFFECTIVELY ADDRESS RESEARCH NEEDS OF THE POULTRY INDUSTRY THROUGH A COMPETITIVE PROCESS. THE GOAL WAS TO IMPROVE EFFICIENCY AND SUSTAINABILITY OF POULTRY PRODUCTION THROUGH INTEGRATED, COLLABORATIVE RESEARCH AND TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER.
