TO EMPOWER AMERICAN INDIAN WOMEN AND FAMILIES TO EXERCISE THEIR CULTURAL VALUES AND INTEGRITY, AND TO ACHIEVE SUSTAINABLE LIFE WAYS, WHILE ADVOCATING FOR JUSTICE AND EQUITY.

HOUSING SERVICES - SECTION 8 FAMILY SUPPORTIVE HOUSING: THIRTEEN 2- AND 3BR APARTMENTS PROVIDE STABLE AFFORDABLE HOUSING AND A SUPPORTIVE ENVIRONMENT FOR FAMILIES WITH MINOR CHILDREN. HOUSING NAVIGATION,HOMELESSNESS PREVENTION, AND RAPID REHOUSING SERVICES ASSIST YOUNG ADULTS AND FAMILIES WHO ARE UNSTABLY HOUSED OR HOMELESS TO ACCESS AVAILABLE SHELTER-BASED, TRANSITIONAL, AND/OR PERMANENT AFFORDABLE HOUSING OPTIONS.


COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT & IMPACT - PROGRAMS DESIGNED TO KEEP FAMILIES SAFELY TOGETHER, AND/OR TO REUNITE CHILDREN WITH THEIR FAMILIES THROUGH LIFE SKILLS PARENTING, FAMILY GROUP CONFERENCING, FAMILY SPIRIT HOME VISITING, AND INFANT MORTALITY/UNINTENDED VIOLENCE & INJURY PREVENTION SUPPORTS. THE ORGANIZATION IS ALSO A PROVIDER OF INDIAN CHILD WELFARE ACT (ICWA) COURT ADVOCACY AND FOSTER PARENT/FAMILY CAREGIVER SERVICES, AND ACTS AS A LIAISON WITH THE TRIBAL AND COUNTY PROVIDERS TO ENSURE QUALITY CARE FOR CHILDREN IN THE CHILD PROTECTION SYSTEM.


WAWOKIYE - SEXUAL EXPLOITATION AND ANTI-TRAFFICKING PROGRAM INCLUDING STREET OUTREACH, CROP-IN CRISIS COUNSELING AND RESOURCE REFERRAL, CULTURALLY GROUNDED VIOLENCE PREVENTION/INTERVENTION/HEALING SUPPORTS, AND SEXUAL ASSAULT ADVOCACY FOR YOUTH AND ADULTS WHO HAVE EXPERIENCED SEXUAL VIOLENCE AND/OR COMMERCIAL SEXUAL EXPLOITATION. ALSO INCLUDES HEALING JOURNEY, WHICH PROVIDES CASE MANAGEMENT AND PEER-LED HEALING SUPPORT FOR ADULT AMERICAN INDIAN WOMEN LIVING WITH COMPLEX TRAUMA AND CHRONIC SUBSTANCE USE CHALLENGES.


CHEMICAL DEPENDENCY SERVICES - NOKOMIS ENDAAD - OUTPATIENT TREATMENT PROGRAM THAT PROVIDES CULTURALLY STRENGTH BASED CO-OCCURRING DISORDER TREATMENT AND HEALING FOR NATIVE WOMEN.TRADITIONAL HEALING AND CLINICAL BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SERVICES - THE ORGANIZATION OFFERS A WIDE ARRAY OF CULTURALLY RESPONSIVE, TRAUMA INFORMED COUNSELING SERVICES TO CHILDREN, ADOLESCENTS, AND ADULTS. LICENSED THERAPISTS BALANCE CONTEMPORARY EVIDENCE-BASED THERAPY MODELS WITH NATIVE AMERICAN VALUES, CULTURAL PRACTICES, AND TRADITIONAL METHODOLOGIES FOR ENHANCING RESILIENCE.TRAINING - THE LEARNING CENTER PROMOTES KNOWLEDGE AID IMPROVES THE SOCIAL SERVICE WORKER'S ABILITY TO WORK MORE EFFECTIVELY WITH AMERICAN INDIAN WOMEN AND THEIR FAMILIES. THIS PROGRAM PROVIDES A STATEWIDE TRAINING PROGRAM, TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE, AND A LIBRARY CLEARING-HOUSE RESOURCE PROGRAM.
