CADA PROVIDES SAFETY AND SUPPORT TO VICTIMS OF DOMESTIC AND SEXUAL VIOLENCE THROUGH EDUCATION, ADVOCACY, AND SHELTER. APPROXIMATELY 1450 ADULTS AND 240 CHILDREN ACCESSED CADA'S SERVICES THROUGH OUR EMERGENCY SHELTER, COMMUNITY ADVOCACY, EDUCATION, AND KEEP ME SAFE PARENTING TIME CENTER PROGRAMS. ADVOCACY IS PROVIDED IN OUR EMERGENCY SHELTER AND COMMUNITY ADVOCACY PROGRAMS. THIS INCLUDES DIRECT SUPPORT TO SURVIVORS OF DOMESTIC AND SEXUAL VIOLENCE AND THEIR CHILDREN. ADVOCATES PROVIDED ASSISTANCE THROUGH THE 24-HOUR CRISIS LINE OVER 2867 TIMES AND IN-PERSON CRISIS RESPONSE 2228 TIMES. CASE MANAGEMENT AND GOAL PLANNING WAS OFFERED TO 67 ADULT SHELTER RESIDENTS, WITH ADDITIONAL SUPPORT FOR PARENTS AND THE 83 CHILDREN THAT STAYED IN SHELTER. CHILDCARE WAS PROVIDED 375 TIMES. CADA ADVOCATES ASSISTED WITH 244 RESTRAINING ORDERS AND PROVIDED 168 INDIVIDUAL SUPPORT GROUP SESSIONS. SURVIVORS ACCESSED FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE OVER 264 TIMES. TRANSPORTATION ASSISTANCE WAS PROVIDED 463 TIMES.
THE KEEP ME SAFE PARENTING TIME AND EXCHANGE CENTER PROVIDES SUPERVISED PARENTING TIME AND EXCHANGES TO ALLOW NON-CUSTODIAL CAREGIVERS THE OPPORTUNITY TO REMAIN INVOLVED IN THEIR CHILDREN'S LIVES WHILE KEEPING THE OTHER CAREGIVER AND THE CHILDREN SAFE. SERVICES WERE PROVIDED TO 86 CHILDREN THROUGH 813 SUPERVISED VISITATIONS AND EXCHANGES IN OUR MANKATO AND NEW ULM LOCATIONS. DUE TO FUNDING AND CAPACITY LIMITATIONS, WE CLOSED THE NEW ULM KEEP ME SAFE LOCATION IN DECEMBER 2022.
CADA OFFERS EDUCATION PROGRAMMING TO ENGAGE WITH YOUTH AND COMMUNITY MEMBERS. IN THIS TIME PERIOD, CADA PROVIDED EDUCATION AT 27 EVENTS WITH 1226 PARTICIPATING. ADDITIONALLY, CADA HAS HISTORIALLY PROVIDED PREVENTION PROGRAMMING FOR INDIVIDUALS THAT HAVE USED VIOLENCE IN RELATIONSHIPS WITH THE GOAL TO CREATE SAFER COMMUNITIES FOR ALL; HOWEVER, THIS PROGRAM HAS CURRENTLY BEEN SUNSETTED DUE TO LACK OF CONSISTENT, ADEQUATE FUNDING.
