GREAT RIVER ARTS (GRA) HAS A LONG STANDING PARTNERSHIP WTIH SCHLENNER & WENNER & CO. AND THE FAMILY MEDICAL CLINIC AT ST GABRIEL'S HEALTH IN LITTLE FALLS, AS TWO SATELLITE GALLERIES; SHOWCASING VISUAL ART. IN ADDITION, STAFF OVERSEE TWO FREE ART GALLERIES (MAIN AND FRONT)LOCATED ONSITE AT GRA (122 FIRST STREET SE, LITTLE FALLS). IN FY 21, GRA CURATED 10 EXHIBITS THAT FEATURED THE WORK OF 105 ARTISTS. UNDER GRA'S VISUAL ARTS PROGRAMMING, 99 ARTISANS HAVE WORK ON CONSIGNMENT - AVAILABLE FOR SALE IN THE RETAIL SPACE. THIS YEAR, GRA CONTINUED TO PILOT THE "CURATED BY GRA" PROGRAM TO SUPPORT ADDITIONAL(TEMPORARY) SATELLITE GALLERY LOCATIONS THROUGHOUT MORRISON COUNTY.
UNDER GRA'S PERFORMING ARTS PROGRAMMING, 62 EVENTS (FEATURING 105 ARTISTS) WERE HOSTED INCLUDING EIGHT COMMUNITY DINNER THEATRE PRODUCTION AND OTHER MUSICAL/GRA LIVE PERFORMANCES, ALONG WITH A VARIETY OF FREE EVENTS SUCH AS "OPEN MIC NIGHT" EVENTS WHERE THE COMMUNITY SHARES THEIR TALENT (POETRY, MUSIC, VOICE, SPOKEN WORD, ETC.) ON GRA'S STAGE. GREAT RIVER TELEVISION (GRTV) PROGRAMMING IS A UNIQUE COMMUNITY RESOURCE THAT PROVIDES MORE THAN 6500 HOURS OF FREE CONTENT - ACCESSIBLE ON PUBLIC ACCESS CHANNEL 180/6 AND YOUTUBE. IN ADDITION STAFF SUPPORTED 22 PRIVATE RENTALS - CONNECTING OUR SPACE TO COMMUNITY MEMBERS. GRA PARTICIPATED IN A COMMUNITY EVENT W/LOCAL BUSINESSES SPONSORING TRICK OR TREAT TO HUNDREDS OF CHILDREN.
GRA PROVIDES ARTS EDUCATION PROGRAMMING FOR YOUTH AND ADULTS, BY CONNECTING RESIDENTS AND VISITORS TO ENGAGING AND CREATIVE OPPORTUNITIES. THIS BODY OF WORK INCREASES A PARTICIPANTS KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND UNDERSTANDING OF VARIOUS ARTISTIC DISCIPLINES, INCLUDING VISUAL (PAINTING, MIXED MEDIA, FABRIC, GLASS, DRAWING, WATERCOLOR, ETC.), MULTIMEDIA, PERFORMING AND LITERARY ARTS. DURING THIS FISCAL YEAR, GRA OFFERED MORE THAN 8 ART CLASSES. PLEASE NOTE THAT DUE TO NATIONAL CONCERNS AROUND COVID-19, GRA WAS TEMPORARILY CLOSED.
