MALCOLM STACK FOUNDATION, INC WAS ORGANIZED AND OPERATES TO CONSERVE AND PRESERVE SIGNIFICANT NATURAL RESOURCES. THE FOUNDATION CONDUCTS THE FOLLOWING ACTIVITIES IN FURTHERANCE OF ITS EXEMPT PURPOSES:LAND CONSERVATION: THE FOUNDATION HAS 148 ACRES OF LAND THAT IS LOCATED WEST OF THE VILLAGE OF RIDGEWAY, IOWA COUNTY, WISCONSIN AND IS UNIQUE IN BOTH ITS GEOLOGICAL FORMATION AND PRISTINE HABITAT. CURRENTLY, THERE ARE NATURE TRAILS FOR WALKING AND HORSEBACK RIDING ON THE LAND. THE FOUNDATION WORKS TO PRESERVE THE LAND'S NATURAL BEAUTY THROUGH LAND MANAGEMENT TECHNIQUES AND MAINTENANCE ACTIVITIES.
EQUESTRIAN ACTIVITIES: THE FOUNDATION SPONSORS AND HOSTS WORKSHOPS GIVEN BY VARIOUS NATIONAL AND REGIONAL EQUESTRIAN ASSOCIATIONS. THE WORKSHOPS ARE HELD ON THE LAND AND ARE OPEN TO INTERESTED AND QUALIFIED MEMBERS OF THE GENERAL PUBLIC.EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES: THE FOUNDATION PERIODICALLY MAKES THE LAND AVAILABLE TO ELEMENTARY AND SECONDARY SCHOOL-AGED CHILDREN AND OTHER CONSERVATION-ORIENTED NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS, TO STUDY VEGETATION AND LAND FORMATION THAT IS UNIQUE TO SOUTHWESTERN WISCONSIN.ADMINISTRATION BUILDING: THE ADMINISTRATION BUILDING WAS BUILT ON THE LAND FOR USE IN THE FOUNDATION'S EXEMPT PURPOSES.
