THE SUN PRAIRIE PUBLIC LIBRARY FOUNDATION (SPPLF) IS A NON-PROFIT, 501(C)(3) ORGANIZATION WHOSE SOLE PURPOSE IS TO SUPPORT THE SUN PRAIRIE PUBLIC LIBRARY (THE LIBRARY) IN HOPES OF MAKING IT THE BEST LIBRARY IT CAN BE. IN 2021, THE SPPLF SUPPORTED THE LIBRARY BY HOLDING TWO APPEALS TO GROW THE SPPLF'S ENDOWMENT. BOTH APPEALS WERE MAIL CAMPAIGNS SUPPLEMENTED WITH SOCIAL MEDIA. NO IN-PERSON FUNDRAISING EVENTS WERE HELD IN 2021 DUE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC. 100% OF ANNUAL SPPLF EARNINGS MAY BE DISTRIBUTED TO THE LIBRARY. 2020 INVESTMENT EARNINGS ENABLED THE SPPLF TO OFFER THE LIBRARY $39,961 IN SUPPORT. THE LIBRARY ELECTED TO USE APPROXIMATELY 25% ($10,516) OF THOSE FUNDS FOR PROGRAMS AND LIBRARY IMPROVEMENTS AND TO ROLL THE REMAINING 75% BACK INTO THE ENDOWMENT.
