THE WISCONSIN NATIONAL GUARD ASSOCIATION OFFERS, LOW-COST, STATE SPONSORED GROUP LIFE INSURANCE (SSLI), POLICIES FOR WISCONSIN NATIONAL GUARD SOLDIERS AND AIRMEN AND THEIR DEPENDENTS. AN INITIAL FREE $10,000 POLICY IS OFFERED TO EVERY NEW ENLISTEE IN THE WISCONSIN NATIONAL GUARD; 1,477 NEW MEMBERS OF THE WISCONSIN NATIONAL GUARD TOOK ADVANTAGE OF THIS PROGRAM IN 2022.
PROMOTE NATIONAL GUARD AND AMERICANISM THROUGH THE AWARDS GIFTS AND GRANTS COMMITTEE BY RECOGNIZING THE OUTSTANDING ACCOMPLISHMENTS OF WISCONSIN NATIONAL GUARD MEN AND WOMEN. PROVIDE INFORMATION TO ASSOCIATION MEMBERS VIA NEWSLETTER, WHICH IS PUBLISHED SIX TIMES A YEAR, AND THROUGH THE WEBSITE WINGA.ORG. PROVIDE EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES OF ASSOCIATION MEMBERS AND THEIR DEPENDENTS THROUGH TEN ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIPS. COMMEMORATE THE MEMORY OF THOSE WISCONSIN MILITARY MEMBERS WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES IN THE SERVICE TO THE NATION THROUGH THE WITMER MEMORIAL, WHICH IDENTIFIES, BY NAME, EACH WISCONSIN SERVICE MEMBER TO PERISH SINCE 9/11 IN SUPPORT OF THE GLOBAL WAR ON TERROR.
