ELDER FINANCIAL EMPOWERMENT PROJECT PROVIDES INFORMATION, ADVOCACY, REFERRAL, AND CIVIL LEGAL SERVICES TO SENIOR VICTIMS OF FINANCIAL ABUSE. IT ALSO PROVIDED PERSONAL CONSUMER CREDIT ADVOCACY TO RESPOND TO CONSUMER PROBLEMS CAUSED BY FINANCIAL EXPLOITATION OF THE ELDERLY.
HEALTH AND GENERAL ADVOCACY PROVIDES STATE AND FEDERAL LEGISLATIVE ADVOCACY INFORMATION ON HEALTH ISSUES INCLUDING SUPPORTING THE AFFORDABLE CARES ACT, PRESERVING AND ENHANCING WISCONSIN'S SENIORCARE PRESCRIPTION DRUG PROGRAM AND OTHER PRESCRIPTION DRUG ISSUES AND VACCINATION INFORMATION. ALSO, FINANCIAL EXPLOITATION ISSUES INCLUDING BETTER ENFORCEMENT OF EXISTING LAWS AGAINST FINANCIAL CRIMES AGAINST SENIORS, SUCH AS IDENTITY THEFT, PREDITORY LENDING, AND POWER OF ATTORNEY ABUSE.
