THE WISCONSIN MOTOR CARRIERS ASSOCIATION (WMCA) REPRESENTS THE INTERESTS OF TRUCK AND MOTOR COACH OWNERS WITHIN THE STATE OF WISCONSIN. THE ASSOCIATION HAS ROUGHLY 1,400 MEMBERS, RANGING FROM INDEPENDENT CONTRACTORS WITH ONE TRUCK TO COMPANIES WITH THOUSANDS OF TRUCKS. THE WMCA IS AFFILIATED WITH THE AMERICAN TRUCKING ASSOCIATIONS (ATA) IN WASHINGTON AND WORKS WITH THE ATA ON FEDERAL ISSUES. THE ASSOCIATION ISSUES NEWSLETTERS KEEPING MEMBERS INFORMED OF NEW LAWS, CHANGES IN REGULATIONS, AND DEVELOPMENTS IN OTHER STATES. THE ASSOCIATION ALSO HAS TWO REGISTERED LOBBYISTS TO PROTECT ITS MEMBERS FROM UNFAIR AND UNNECESSARY TAXATION AND REGULATIONS. THE ASSOCIATION ALSO HOLDS EVENTS AND SEMINARS FOR MEMBERS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR.
