THE PURPOSE OF THE JACKSON COMMUNITY FOUNDATION IS TO CONNECT PEOPLE AND RESOURCES TO CAUSES THAT STRENGTHEN AND BUILD OUR COMMUNITY. THE FOUNDATION DOES THIS BY BUILDING PERMANENT ENDOWMENT FUNDS TO SUPPORT ITS WORK AS A COMMUNITY GRANTMAKER AND COMMUNITY LEADER.

WE AWARD GRANTS TO 501(C)(3) NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS, SCHOOL DISTRICTS, AND UNITS OF GOVERNMENT SERVICING JACKSON COUNTY, MICHIGAN. THE FOUNDATION CURRENTLY HAS SIX FOCUS AREAS FOR COMMUNITY NEEDS PRIORITIES FOR ITS GRANTMAKING THAT INCLUDE: FINANCIAL STABILITY, CULTURE OF EDUCATION, HEALTHY PEOPLE, ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY, ECONOMIC PROSPERITY, AND ART, CULTURE & RECREATION.
