MICHIGAN LAWSUIT ABUSE WATCH HELD A PUBLIC RALLY AT THE FLINT COURTHOUSE TO DRAW ATTENTION TO THE EXCESSIVE AMOUNT OF THE PLAINTIFFS LAWYERS IN THE FLINT WATER CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT WANTING TO TAKE FROM THE SETTLEMENT THAT WAS SET UP TO HELP THE VICTIMS. OUR EFFORTS RECEIVED STATEWIDE MEDIA COVERAGE.THE ORGANIZATION'S PRESIDENT WORKED WITH MEMBERS OF THE MEDIA AND APPEARED IN RADIO AND TV INTERVIEWS TO TALK THE IMPORTANCE OF PRESERVING AS MUCH OF THE MONEY IN LEGAL SETTLEMENTS FOR VICTIMS AND LESS FOR LAWYER FEES.THE ORGANIZATION'S PRESIDENT WORKED WITH BUSINESS AND OTHER ASSOCIATIONS TO INCREASE AWARENESS OF OUR EFFORTS.
