THE ICAN FOUNDATION IS THE US CHARITABLE ARM OF INEOS, A LARGE, INTEGRATED, INTERNATIONAL CHEMICAL COMPANY. INEOS BELIEVES IT HAS A RESPONSIBILITY TO HELP DEVELOP OUR COUNTRY'S BEST RESOURCE: ITS NEXT GENERATION. THE ICAN FOUNDATION IS A TEXAS 501(C)(3) NON-PROFIT AND VOLUNTEER ORGANIZATION THAT SUPPORTS OUTREACH EFFORTS FOCUSING ON CHILD HEALTH, EDUCATION, AND THE DEVELOPMENT OF OUR FUTURE WORKFORCE IN HOUSTON AND ITS SURROUNDING AREAS. OUR EFFORTS ARE DIRECTED TOWARDS MAKING A DIFFERENCE IN THE AREAS WHERE WE OPERATE AND LIVE.

SIGNATURE PROGRAM, GO RUN FOR FUN, IS A FREE FUN RUN DELIVERED AT SCHOOLS AND CLUBS THAT'S DESIGNED TO HELP CHILDREN AGES 5-11 DEVELOP GOOD EXERCISE HABITS BY SHOWING THEM THAT PHYSICAL ACTIVITY CAN BE FUN. IN 2021, THE DAILY MILE AND GO RUN FOR FUN EVENTS TO OVER 127,980 STUDENTS.
WE PROVIDE FUNDING AND SUPPORT TO TEACHERS IN THE AREAS WHERE WE OPERATE AND LIVE. THIS FUNDING IS DESIGNED TO ENABLE TEACHERS TO EXTEND THEIR EDUCATIONAL CURRICULUM IN THE AREAS OF SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING AND MATH (STEM EDUCATION).
THE DAILY MILE IS A FREE, WHOLE CHILD HEALTH PROGRAM FOR SCHOOLS AND OTHER YOUTH ORGANIZATIONS. FOCUSED MAINLY ON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL AGED CHILDREN, IT GETS KIDS AND THEIR TEACHERS OUTSIDE TO RUN, JOG, OR WALK AT THEIR OWN PACE FOR AN ADDITIONAL 15 MINUTES EACH SCHOOL DAY. IT IS PROVEN IN MULTIPLE UNIVERSITY STUDIES TO PROMOTE PHYSICAL HEALTH, ALONG WITH MENTAL HEALTH AND RELATIONSHIP-BUILDING AMONG STUDENTS AND THEIR TEACHERS. CHILDREN RETURN TO CLASS MORE FOCUSED, IMPROVING CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT AND LEARNING. ACROSS THE USA, 314 SCHOOLS (124,000 CHILDREN) WERE DOING THE DAILY MILE IN 2021.
