THE COUNCIL WILL IMPLEMENT PROGRAMS FOR AND WITH ITS INSTITUTIONAL MEMBERS TO DEVELOP, IMPLEMENT, AND ASSESS NEW AND INNOVATIVE MODELS FOR CURRICULA, CLINICAL EDUCATION,TEACHING/LEARNING, SCHOLARSHIP/RESEARCH, AND MENTORING AND LEADERSHIP IN THE AREA OF ACADEMIC PHYSICAL THERAPY. THE COUNCIL WILL ALSO WORK TO ESTABLISH AND INFLUENCE POLICY AND LEGISLATION RELATED TO ACADEMIC PHYSICAL THERAPY THROUGH COLLABORATION WITH ORGANIZATIONS AND INSTITUTIONS THAT REPRESENT HEALTH PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION.


THE COUNCIL WILL PROMOTE THE DEVELOPMENT OF CONSORTIA TO BE COMPRISED OF INDIVIDUALS AFFILIATED WITH THE COUNCIL'S INSTITUTIONAL MEMBERS WHO SHARE COMMON INTERESTS BASED UPON THEIR PROGRAM AFFILIATION. THE ROLE OF THE CONSORTIA WILL BE TO PROVIDE A FORUM FOR INSTITUTIONAL MEMBERS OF THE PHYSICAL THERAPIST EDUCATION COMMUNITY TO GATHER AND DISSEMINATE INFORMATION RELATIVE TO A SPECIFIC AREA OF SHARED INTEREST AND TO HAVE A LINE OF COMMUNICATION WITHIN THE COUNCIL.
