BRIGHT STARS OF BETHLEHEM PROVIDES SUPPORT FOR SCHOLARSHIPS FOR THREE PROGRAMS THAT REACH THE PEOPLE OF BETHLEHEM. SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS IN THE DIYAR ACADEMY FOR CHILDREN AND YOUTH ARE AGES 6-18 THAT PARTICIPATE IN BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS AND SUMMER INTENSIVE PROGRAMS RANGING FROM MUSIC, ART, DANCE, SOCCER, VOLLEYBALL AND MANY OTHER ACTIVITIES THAT PROMOTE CREATIVE AND EXPRESSIVE OPPORTUNITIES OTHERWISE NOT AVAILABLE FOR FAMILIES IN THE REGION. FULL OR PARTIAL SCHOLARSHIPS FOR STUDENTS AT DAR AL-KALIMA UNIVERSITY ARE CRITICAL FOR 95% OF THE 550 STUDENTS CURRENTLY ENROLLED IN ARTS, COMMUNICATIONS, MUSIC, CULINARY ARTS AND MORE THAT MATRICULATE IN OVER 7 BA DEGREES, 10 AA DEGREES AND CERTIFICATE PROGRAMS. SCHOLARSHIPS FOR OLDER ADULTS IN THE AJYAL PROGRAM ALLOW OVER 300 PEOPLE TO PARTICIPATE IN HEALTH AND WELLNESS, PRIMARY PREVENTION AND SOCIALIZATION PROGRAMS ALL YEAR.
