FLAT RIVER OUTREACH MINISTRIES, INC'S PRIMARY PURPOSE IS TO SERVE THE PEOPLE OF THE GREATER LOWELL AREA IN THEIR TIME OF HARDSHIP. THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES FOOD, FINANCIAL, AND OTHER ASSISTANCE FOR THE NEEDY AND OPERATES A THRIFT SHOP/FURNITURE STORE FOR THE SALE AND/OR DISTRIBUTION OF LOW COST CLOTHING, FURNITURE, AND HOUSEWARES.

FOOD PANTRY, FOOD MOBILE AND SUMMER LUNCH PROGRAM IS IN PLACE TO SUPPLY THOSE IN NEED WITH FOOD. THE FOOD PANTRY PROVIDED AN ESTIMATED 145,440 OF FOOD TO THOSE IN NEED AND SERVED APPROXIMATELY 263 FAMILIES. THE FOOD MOBILE PROGRAM PROVIDED AN ESTIMATED 55,000 POUNDS OF FOOD TO THOSE IN NEED AND SERVICES APPROXIMATELY 260 FAMILIES.
THE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM PROVIDES FINANCIAL SUPPORT TO THOSE THAT ARE EXPERIENCING A PERSONAL OR FINANCIAL CRISIS. THIS ASSISTANCE INCLUDES HOUSING, UTILITIES, AND OTHER FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE AS NEEDED. THE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM SERVED APPROXIMATELY 53 FAMILIES.
THE THRIFT SHOP SUPPLIES LOW COST CLOTHING, HOUSEHOLD GOODS, BACK TO SCHOOL, AND CHRISTMAS SUPPORT TO THOSE FAMILIES IN NEED.
THE HOUSING PROGRAM PROVIDES AFFORDABLE HOUSING.
