PARK PRIORITY PROJECTS - PROVIDE FUNDS FOR THE PURCHASE OF EQUIPMENT SERVICES AND SUPPLIES PRIORITIZED BY THE NATIONAL PARK INCLUDING SEARCH AND RESCUE SUPPLIES ANISHINAABE EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS LAW ENFORCEMENT SUPPORT FIELD HYDRATION SUPPORT WATER QUALITY MONITORING OUTDOOR EDUCATION AND SUPPORT OF THE GRAND TRAVERSE ASTRONOMICAL SOCIETY
SLEEPING BEAR HERITAGE TRAIL - WE OPERATE AND MAINTAIN A MULTI-USE TRAIL THROUGH PARTS OF THE SLEEPING BEAR NATIONAL LAKESHORE. THE TRAILS IS USED ALL YEAR REQUIRING INSPECTION TREE REMOVAL AND REPAIR THE MAJORITY OF THE YEAR AND SNOW GROOMING FOR CROSS COUNTRY SKIING DURING THE WINTER. OUR VOLUNTEERS PATROL THE TRAIL AND PROVIDE ASSISTANCE WHEN NEEDED.
EDUCATIONAL PUBLICATIONS - WE PRODUCE EDUCATION PAMPHLETS ON THE HISTORY FOLIAGE AND BIRDS WITHIN THE SLEEPING BEAR NATIONAL LAKESHORE.
