MICHIGAN CHILDREN'S LAW CENTER AS COURT-APPOINTED ADVOCATES PROVIDED LEGAL REPRESENTATION TO CHILDREN IN CHILD PROTECTIVE PROCEEDINGS AND IN WAYNE COUNTY JUVENILE COURT AS WELL AS THE LAWYER-GUARDIAN AD LITEM, DELINQUENCY MATTERS, THE SPECIAL BABY COURT DOCKET, THE MENTAL HEALTH DOCKET, AND THE ABSENT WITHOUT LEGAL PERMISSION DOCKETS INCLUDING COMPLETING INVESTIGATIONS, PREPARING AND SUBMITTING REPORTS & FINDINGS WITH RECOMMENDATIONS WHILE PARTICIPATING IN ALL COURT HEARINGS. ACCORDINGLY, ALL PROGRAM EXPENSES ARE USED AND RELATED TO THOSE SERVICES. MCLC ALSO HELD EDUCATION TRAININGS AND WEBINARS FOR THE PUBLIC, SERVED THE AGING OUT COMMUNITY AND PROVIDES CONSULTATION TO COMMUNITY MEMBERS REGARDING VARIOUS ISSUES CONCERNING FOSTER CARE, ADOPTION, AND JUVENILE JUSTICE.
