THE FOUNDATION IS A COLLECTION OF LOCAL FUNDS GIVEN BY INDIVIDUALS, CORPORATIONS, AND FOUNDATIONS TO ENHANCE AND SUPPORT THE QUALITY OF LIFE FOR ALL THE PEOPLE IN THE MT. PLEASANT AREA. IN ADDITION TO MANAGING CHARITABLE CONTRIBUTIONS ON BEHALF OF DONORS, THE MT. PLEASANT AREA COMMUNITY FOUNDATION SERVES ISABELLA COUNTY THROUGH THE AWARDING OF GRANTS TO CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS TOTALING 538,468 AND SCHOLARSHIPS TO STUDENTS TOTALING 127,100 IN 2021. THE COMMUNITY FOUNDATION'S LARGEST GRANTS IN 2021 WERE AWARDED TO THE MOUNT PLEASANT DISCOVERY MUSEUM, ISSUE MEDIA GROUP, AND MIDMICHIGAN HEALTH FOUNDATION.
