THE LANSING AREA AIDS NETWORK (LAAN) IS DEDICATED TO THE DELIVERY OF SERVICES AND PROGRAMS DESIGNED TO MEET THE NEEDS OF THOSE LIVING WITH HIV AND AIDS AND TO HELP PREVENT THE FURTHER SPREAD OF THE VIRUS.

THE LANSING AREA AIDS NETWORK PROVIDED CLIENT COMMUNICATION, EDUCATION, AND SUPPORTIVE SERVICES TO HIV INFECTED INDIVIDUALS AND THEIR FAMILY MEMBERS; ALONG WITH OTHERS WHO RESIDE IN THE CENTRAL MICHIGAN AREA TO INCREASE THEIR ABILTIY TO COPE WITH STRESSORS RELATED TO LIVING WITH HIV/AIDS. PREVENTION STRATEGIES ARE SUPPORTED BY COUNSELING, TESTING, AND REFERRAL SERVICES. APPROXIMATELY 700 PERSONS RECEIVED HEALTHCARE, PRESCRIPTION, DENTAL, NUTRITIONAL, HOUSING, AND/OR TRANSPORTATION SERVICES.
